Report: Asus may mull evacuation of staff, business from Russia
BEIJING, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- Taiwanese computer equipment producer Asus may consider evacuating its staff and business from Russia, the Taiwanese Central News Agency reported on Monday, quoting Economic Affairs Minister Wang Mei-hua.
The minister said Asus may think of a withdrawal of its employees and business from Russia as she commented on the calls of Ukraine on the company to halt its relations with Russia.
Asus was called out by Ukraine digital minister Mykhailo Fedorov earlier in March for its failure to withdraw from the Russian market after the conflict began, an appeal to which the company said March 12 evening that it would not respond at this time.
